My name is Justin, I am now in the United States Navy in the Nuclear field, and I am a Petty Officer now. Before the Navy, I had shown sheep in market classes at my County Fair, and Market and Breed classes at the Junior Grand Nationals. I have also shown dogs, as mom raises Australian Shepherds for herding, agility, obediecne and conformation. My dog's name is Ghost, he has been shown in AKC and ASCA and has done well in tuff competition in California, Oregon and Nevada.
When I was in high school, I played football, soccer, basketball and ran on the track team. I was also a member of FFA, so this page is dedicated to my animals and school sports.
I hope all the kids that come after me can be as lucky as I have been.

Me, Ghost and one of my ram lambs.

This is my Borzoi puppy! Her full name is Shanna Du Grand Fresnoy. She was only about 9 months old when these pictures were taken. I showed her in Reno Nevada at an AKC fun match and she won her class, then went on to win Best Of Breed Puppy, then went on to Win Best Of Group Hounds. I wish to thank Garnett at Sunburst Borzoi Kennels for giving me such a treasure of a dog and I hope to make them proud. I also wish to thank Shanna's breeder in France, Marie-Helene for trusting me with her baby and we hope to make the USA stand up and take notice of such a wonderful girl. We had Shanna go to Las Vegas with Sunburst's handler, and Shanna won the Puppy Sweepstakes there and made a proud showing. I hope to keep up her show win record here, so check back often!
Be sure to visit our Sweet Mtn Borzoi page! It's new!
We also have another young Borzoi, his name is Marverick, he is from Sunburst Kennels. Here is a picture of Maverick and his brother Mr. Bee winning Best in Show Brace in Oregon, and a picture of Maverick with our labrador, Puma.

I took Shanna to the Borzoi National Specialty in Reno Nevada, 2003. I placed 2nd in Junior Handling and she took a 5th place in the breed ring. There were over 850 Borzoi entered in that show!
A side note however. Our other Borzoi male, Maverick, did so well that the breeder took him back. He won his class and made the final cut in winners. So he is off with a handler and now on the road being shown by Pete Ventura. I hope to get pictures of his show results. We miss him!
Sad news to us here, we lost Puma to a bad thyroid problem, he will be missed greatly!
